On December 2nd, the University announced a 3% salary increase for all faculty members, mirroring the Executive Yuan’s recent announcement of pay raise for government employees, military personnel, and public school teachers effective from 2025. This increase applies to all faculty, including full-time and contract-based staff.
The adjustment encompasses basic pay, academic research fees, professional allowances for certified staff, and salaries for non-certified personnel. KSU is the first university in southern Taiwan to implement this pay increase, setting a precedent for other institutions in the region.
As approaching its 60th anniversary in 2025, the University is taking decisive steps to address challenges posed by Taiwan's declining birth rate. The recent faculty salary increase highlights the University’s ongoing commitment to supporting its staff and sustaining competitive compensation practices.
This marks the fourth salary adjustment since 2018 in alignment with government pay raises and the third increase in the past four years. By prioritizing faculty welfare, KSU aims to bolster its position as a leading academic institution while navigating demographic and economic pressures.
