Kun Shan University and the Korea College of Media Arts cooperated to apply to the King Sejong Institute in order establish at the KSU campus one of only 34 branches in the whole world. This year the application was accepted and recently a ceremony was held to establish on the KSU campus the King Sejong Institute Tainan which will offer opportunities for learners to study Korean language and culture by means of an outstanding diversified curriculum.
Kun Shan University and the Korea College of Media Arts together established the King Sejong Institute Tainan with assistance of a subsidy from the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ministry of Education Higher Education Sprout Project which was utilized for the planning of the specific location space. A 15-week Korean language course already began in September and in October a Korean culture course, a Korean language pronunciation course, a Korean language alphabet course, and a Korean film appreciation course will begin. Additionally, a Korean Week activity will be held where Korean international students will give cooking demonstrations of delicious special Korean cuisine.
